The LA Writes Contest is now open for entries in the 2014 contest. Deadline for entry is May 15, 2014. Students in Louisiana in grades kindergarten through 12th grade may enter one fiction, one nonfiction, and up to 3 poems. See the form for word count limits.
All entries must be sent by mail, postmarked by the due date, and include a signed entry form. To access the entry form, click here.
Students’ writing will be judged by teacher-consultants and then by author judges according to the VOICES rubric.
